NDSM depends upon donations of $750,000 in food and hygiene items to supplement the over $200,000 that NDSM spends to provide a full complement of food and hygiene items to over 30,000 persons annually.
A typical five day supply of food valued at $40 per person includes:
milk, eggs, butter, bread, tortillas, frozen meat, frozen casseroles, canned fruits and vegetables, breakfast items, soups, pastas, rice, sugar, flour, salad greens, pizzas, baby food and diapers, if applicable, laundry detergent, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, deodorant, sanitary napkins, and razors.
