Tough Times Ahead? You Can Help
Michael Ainsworth/The Dallas Morning News When will the economy recover? It's a question we ask every day as we look into the eyes of the less fortunate who turn to us for help - 50,000 individuals so far this year. We don't see any reason just as many clients won't need us in 2011. But the economic malaise gripping our country is impacting our ability to be here for them. When economic conditions deteriorated in 2009, we were fortunate that many donors stepped forward to help us deal with a 25% increase in demand. But giving fell this year and many donors, large and small, have told us they'll be helping less in 2011, if they can help at all. As we expect the needs of our community will remain high, we are asking for your support. As you make decisions about charitable giving, please consider the direct impact NDSM has on the less fortunate right here in OUR community - we bring families through crisis and help them to better lives. And please remember that well over 95% of our funds go to programs and services that directly aid our clients. Please give to NDSM as generously as possible this year. You may click the donate button on this site to donate with a credit card or PayPal. Or you may write a check to North Dallas Shared Ministries and mail it to us at 2875 Merrell Road, Dallas, TX 75229. Thank you in advance for helping us bring hope to those in need. |
