To apply for SNAP (food stamps)
The North Texas Food Bank is providing SNAP and Medicaid application help. If you need SNAP (food stamp) benefits for your family or yourself and/or Medicaid for your children and have a computer, laptop or smart phone, NTFB can help you with face- to-face assistance and a same day file date.

ITEMS TO BRING:
- Photo ID
- Social Security or ITIN cards for you, your spouse and dependents
- All W2s and 1099s
- Health Insurance Documents
- Checking/Savings account number
- Last year’s tax return
Your tax documents will be scanned into our secure server. To limit possible COVID exposure, tax preparation will be completed in another room while you wait.
Once your tax return has been completed, a tax preparer will walk you through your return before obtaining your signature to e-file.
Summer tax appointments will begin in June.

The Medical Clinic is open for walk-ins and by appointment Monday–Friday from 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (closed for lunch from 12-1) for medical care, vaccinations, and flu shots. To schedule an appointment, please call 214-358-8705.
The Dental Clinic is open from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday (closed for lunch from 12-1). Visits are by appointment only. Services include new patient exams extractions, and fillings — dentures for those 60 and older. Please call 214-358-8729 to schedule an appointment.
Screening exams are available for adults and children ages 10 and up on Tuesday and Thursday’s from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM and Wednesday and Friday’s from 1:00 PM-5:30 PM. If screening indicates glasses may be needed, we will schedule an optometrist appointment for you at NDSM.

Mental Health Care
Mental health counseling is available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m.-Noon.

English as a Second Language
Beginning-level English-as-a second- language classes will resume at NDSM on Tuesday, April 19th. Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Classes are free; books are provided, adult students must wear masks and present proof of COVID vaccinations.
The Clothes Closet is open for adults only from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Monday, Thursday and Friday, Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Masks and proof of COVID vaccination and matching ID required. Temperature’s will be taken. If clothing is needed for children, birth certificate or Medicaid card is required for each child.
