  • PAN (People and Nutrition)

School Uniforms and Supplies

We provide two new school uniforms and a full complement of school supplies to pre-qualified children. We accept applications beginning in June. We distribute the uniforms the week before DISD begins classes and school supplies on the first day of school.  Adult applicants must present a social security card or birth certificate for each child and proof of residence.  We accept applications 9:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Rent/Utility Advances

We advance rent and utility payments at the request of Dallas County Health and Human Services caseworkers for disabled county residents without income to expedite rent and utility payments and prevent eviction and disconnect.

In partnership with the Dallas Furniture Bank, we provide furniture to households. We place the order for furniture and delivery and pay for both. The Dallas Furniture Bank then schedules a delivery date directly with the client.

Birth Certificates and IDs

We pay for birth certificates when there is a specific, verifiable need and for Texas IDs.

At the discretion of the job counselor, we may provide bus tokens for job searches. Those with confirmed employment may receive bus tokens to get to work. In special circumstances we may provide bus tokens or for medical appointments.
