Employment Assistance

Employment assistance services are available Monday through Friday.  We provide counseling that is appropriate to each client. Client’s must present a social security card and state issued ID. We provide employment assistance to clients living in any zip code.

English as a Second Language Classes

English as a Second Language Classes are taught at Holy Cross Lutheran Church Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Evening classes are taught Tuesday and Thursday at NDSM from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Classes are free, all materials are provided and open to residents of all zip codes.

Tax Preparation Assistance

During “tax-season”  from mid-January through mid-April, our volunteers prepare and electronically file tax returns for low and moderate income households.  Hours of service are 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. To apply for assistance, clients need to bring a photo ID, social security card or tax ID number, prior year tax return, W-2 or 1099MISC income forms and all other tax-related forms and paperwork necessary to verify income and potential deductions.

We partner with Foundation Communities to offer this service to residents in all zip codes.
